BAE Systems recognises its responsibilities to the people it employs, its customers and suppliers, its shareholders, the wider community and to the environment. It is a well managed and ethical company and is determined to be recognised for its world class technology, skills and the seriousness with which it takes corporate responsibility.
BAE Systems see social, ethical and environmental issues as important to its business performance, presenting both risks and opportunities. CR is embedded across its global operations and overseen by a Corporate Responsibility Committee at board level who review and monitor the management of CR risks and assist the Board to develop strategy and policy.
This years report highlights include:
A new ‘Forward Thinking’ section looking at how BAE Systems needs to adapt and develop its CR agenda to support delivery of the company strategy.
A new stakeholder engagement section exploring the issues of climate change and product stewardship looking at what stakeholders expect from BAE Systems and the implication for the business going forward.
A question and answer session on key issues facing the defence industry
A new section given greater transparency on how BAE Systems is organised and the specific CR issues faced at business group level.
