Crest Nicholson, a residential and mixed-use development company with an emphasis on creating sustainable communities, has published its 2005 Corporate Responsibility report. This report covers governance, marketplace and sustainable development performance in community building and environmental stewardship.
The report follows the 2002 Global Reporting Initiative guidelines. Verification is provided by RPS Group plc, a multidisciplinary and independent consultancy.
The Chief Executive’s statement highlights the successes and challenges in 2005 and areas for improvements in 2006. The company is starting to differentiate itself in the market place by building super energy efficient homes through the use of modern methods of construction. Crest Nicholson’s new range of homes will make local renewable energy supply a more viable option. In this way, Crest Nicholson believes it can address some of the issues of climate change.
