ReportAlert! Insurance Australia Group publishes Sustainability Report 2006
11th December, 2006
Insurance Australia Group (IAG) released its third Sustainability Report entitled, "A Single Person Can Make a World of Difference" on Wednesday 15 November. The report details major risks and opportunities facing IAG and has been released in both a concise version (hardcopy and online) and a full online version.
IAG's Sustainability Report focuses on the Group's employees and the critical role they play in ensuring IAG operates in a sustainable manner. The report contains several case studies which profile individuals within IAG and their personal contributions to the Group's sustainability.
IAG again used the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) as the basis for the 2006 Sustainability Report and independent assurance on information included in the report was obtained from KPMG.
For the first time this year IAG's Sustainability Report includes commentary from the Group's Expert Community Advisory Committee – a group of independent experts which make recommendations on the environmental, social and economic impacts of IAG's activities.
