At Prudential corporate responsibility is about acting with integrity, with sound management practices across its businesses. It is also about being transparent in how Prudential communicates its social and environmental impact, while continually striving to improve its corporate responsibility performance.
In this report you can learn how Prudential is managing and responding to some of the key social and environmental challenges currently facing society and the international financial services community.
During the past year, there have been some exciting developments in Prudential’s work:
In the UK it is delivering Prudential’s financial literacy programme in partnership with Citizens Advice, the Personal Finance Education Group, Specialist Schools and Academies Trust and National Institute of Adult Continuing Education;
In Asia, Prudential’s financial literacy programme ‘Investing in your Future’ launched in China, was extended to Vietnam and India. To date 5,000 women have graduated from the programme;
Prudential Property Investment Managers Ltd (PRUPIM), is the first UK property company to achieve full ISO14001 certification, the internationally recognised environmental management standard.
