The newly-published Rabobank Group Annual Sustainability Report 2006
focuses on climate change and the sustainability of production in food and agriculture.
The web-based document details how Rabobank is responding to these issues by developing new financial products and services, including a ‘climate mortgage’, a credit card with climate compensation, and the Robeco Clean Tech Private Equity Fund. Rabobank also outlines a refined system developed by the bank for assessing CSR issues in standard credit assessment and credit lending procedures.
The report, assured by KPMG, has been compiled in accordance with the A+ level of the new G3 guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative and the AA1000 Assurance Standard. This year it includes a new word search function and further links to additional information online.
