Friends Provident’s 2008 Corporate Responsibility report is published today. This year’s review, which outlines the highlights of the company’s programme in 2008, and the complete online performance report, are available at www.friendsprovident.com/responsibility.

The 2008 review has been designed in response to stakeholders’ feedback, providing a short update on Friends Provident’s achievements over the past year. The company has:

Maintained its market leadership position in responsible investment

Launched an online tool, E-tutor, to deliver a range of financial capability materials for customers, in association with the Life Academy

Developed an integrated travel management system to measure and reduce the environmental impact of our business travel

Produced, in collaboration with a number of other financial institutions, a responsible procurement questionnaire that we will use in supplier tendering procedures

Been ranked best in sector for the third year running when compared to its peers in syndicated research undertaken by Ipsos MORI
