Repsol YPF's 2008 Corporate Responsibility Report is available here

The Report has been developed according to the G3 Guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative and the AccountAbility AA1000 standard. In addition, an independent external consultant has verified the information related to Repsol YPF's environmental, safety and social practices, according to the ISAE3000 standard developed by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB).

Additionally an Independent Experts Committee, whose opinions are included in the Report content, was commissioned to evaluate the relevance of the Report's information for Repsol YPF’s stakeholders.

This report is a supplement to the information provided in the Annual Report 2008. It includes relevant information on public record for the initiatives put into place to improve the company's social & environmental performance and its sustainability approach & management, as outlined in the 2007-2009 Corporate Responsibility Master Plan.

Some of the most outstanding actions taken during 2008 are, among others:

the approval of new policies and internal regulations such as the Community Relations and the Relations with Indigenous Communities policies,
the reassessment of the strategic objective, establishing a reduction of 2.5 million tons of CO2eq for the 2005-2013 period compared with the business as usual scenario.
a decrease of 26% and 25% in the company’s staff and integrated personnel accident frequency rates respectively, compared with the previous year, in compliance with the annual and strategic objectives set by the company for 2012.
